Ranking Fortnitemares 2025 Collab Skins
To me, the month of October (and the Halloween season) is always something to look forward to. This is for many reasons, including my yearly tradition of watching scary movies (both at home and in the theatre!), reading scary graphic novels, and playing scary games. While I try to play a variety of scary games, one that I always come back to is Fortnite due to its Halloween celebrations. This year is no exception, with Fortnitemares 2025 arguably being one of the best in the game’s history. Today, I will be giving my personal ranking of all the collaboration skins Epic Games released this year.
NUMBER 9: DOJA CAT
This one comes down to personal preference. Personally, I do not care about Doja Cat’s music or her in-game skins. For fans of her work, the collab will probably be a must-buy. However, I am not in the target audience, thus securing the last spot in my ranking. If there’s one positive about the collab, it was a nice addition to have her record over 200 lines for her in-game boss.
NUMBER 8: REPO
To me, this collab is similar to Doja Cat (although I do know more about the latter than the former). As entertaining as REPO is game-wise, the collab doesn’t appeal to me, having never played myself. Additionally, the stretched-out appearance of the Semibot in Fortnite looks very strange to me. It makes sense that compromises had to be made for the skin to work, but it’s not something I would personally use. There are two positives with the skin, however. The skin definitely has great customization with a choice of 7 different colors. Also, the fact that the health bar appears on the back of the skin was a nice touch.
NUMBER 7: WEDNESDAY ADAMS
There are certainly MANY fans of the new Wednesday show (and, of course, Jenna Ortega herself). Personally, although I did watch Season 1 in its entirety, it didn’t really “click” for me like it did with others. While Epic admittedly did a good job recreating the character in-game (including the ability to equip Thing was a very nice touch), it’s not an outfit I would personally purchase. However, the accuracy to the source material and overall design rank it above the other two skins for me.
NUMBER 6: HUGGY WUGGY
With the recent rise of Mascot Horror games, many assume Huggy Wuggy to be part of a watered-down FNAF clone with little appeal beyond impressionable children. However, I would argue that the Poppy Playtime series is overlooked, while also having some genuinely good character designs. Huggy Wuggy is simple in design, yet decently effective as a horror mascot. Plus, it is pretty funny watching him do silly emotes. While I’m not entirely sold on buying the outfit (because of the amount of collabs this year), I think he deserves this placement on the list.
NUMBER 5: BLACK PHONE
This is where the rankings start to get a little more difficult. Some may argue this ranking is too high. Truthfully, the main factor behind this placement is my recent viewing of both Black Phone movies for the first time, which I thoroughly enjoyed (even if I think the first Black Phone was the better film). I really liked the Grabber’s design, even if his character is pure evil. If there’s one improvement Epic could have made to the outfit (that would have likely increased the rating), it would be adding an edit style with the iconic top hat and half-mask look with glasses. That would have probably put it over the edge of the next pick.
NUMBER 4: TERRIFIER
To be clear, I have not watched and do not plan on watching the Terrifier films. To me, they are simply unadulterated gore-fests with no actual value to watching them. However, in terms of Art the Clown’s Fortnite outfit, I would argue it is one of the most iconic horror designs of the 2010s. The patterned white and black look is very simple, but what really makes the skin stand out in Fortnite is the facial expressions and built-in lobby animations that the skin has. They are very expressive (much like the real-life actor from the movies themselves), and add a tone of humor to a character who is otherwise a literal killing machine.
NUMBER 3: JASON
Personally, the Friday the 13th franchise has never been one of my favorites in the horror genre. However, the design Epic chose to use in-game is iconic and looks very “clean”. Admittedly, it looks very basic, but it is also what many likely think of when they think of Jason. While the grey jacket look has grown to be controversial with long-time fans (I wish they added more suit designs as edit styles myself), I still think the design that Epic did choose deserves this high a ranking.
NUMBER 2: SCOOBY-DOO GANG
To be completely honest, I was disappointed with the majority of the gang’s designs when I first saw them. Like many others, I thought some of the “normal” styles for the skins (especially Fred and Shaggy) looked off. Additionally, I wasn’t all too impressed with the cel-shaded styles as they weren’t really accurate to any of the cartoons (Mystery Incorporated-inspired edit styles would have been perfect!) However, I think that there is one skin that Epic did perfectly, and that was Scooby-Doo himself. The skeleton suit Epic gave him really grew on me, and I think the cel-shaded edit style works great this time around. However, not even Scooby can rank higher than the first choice on my list.
NUMBER 1: GHOSTFACE
I think most people can agree with this rating. It’s not very easy to mess up Ghostface’s design, and Epic did a great job as usual. If there’s one minor nitpick to have, it would be a lack of mask customization (such as dirty or damaged). However, the skin’s design, combined with my appreciation of the Scream franchise, places this skin at the very top of my ranking.
And that concludes my Fortnitemares 2025 collab ranking. Let me know what you think of my rankings in the comment section below!
