Movie Collabs We NEED to See In Fortnite Chapter 7

As all Fortnite fans know, the brand new Chapter 7 Battle Royale map contains a very intriguing Hollywood/movie theme. Being a big fan of movies myself, this feels like a perfect opportunity for more movie-themed collabs this Season (and Chapter in general)! Today, I want to discuss some of my top picks for Movie-related Fortnite collabs!

CHOICE ONE: MORE TARANTINO CHARACTERS

So far, fans of Tarantino films have been excited by The Bride in the Season’s Battle Pass and the Gogo, Yuki, and the Pulp Fiction bundle in the Item Shop. The skins themselves, as well as the attention to detail in their sets, have been universally praised. However, I (like many others) feel like these cosmetics are merely scratching the surface of potential Tarantino choices. For instance, I would like to see characters from films such as Django (such as the titular character or maybe Dr. Schultz) and Inglourious Basterds (the main crew, or at least Brad Pitt’s character).

Additionally, I wouldn’t mind seeing more cosmetics for Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction. Some easy Kill Bill related skins would be O-Ren and Bill. I am generally surprised we only received two villains (one major and one minor) for the collab. The same could be said for Pulp Fiction, as it would be nice to see Mia and Butch skins in the future. Regardless of what characters Epic Games decides to implement in-game, I hope we see more Tarantino cosmetics in the near future.

CHOICE TWO: WARNER BROTHERS IPS

Recently, it has become clear (through a multitude of collaborations spanning their IPs) that Epic Games and Warner Bros. are on better terms. This is likely due to the unfortunate failure of the Multiversus game, as well as Warner Bros.’ own financial struggles in recent years. While the Matrix franchise did get a few miscellaneous cosmetics a few years ago (primarily just a glider, a wrap, and a few emotes in 2023), the collaboration felt pretty sparse. Many fans, such as myself, would love to see Warner Bros. finally release characters from the Matrix extended universe in Fortnite. The obvious choices would be Neo, Morpheus, and Trinity as a bundle. However, an Agent Smith skin would also be pretty interesting. I can already envision being eliminated by a full squad using this hypothetical skin.

As for another obvious WB pick, the Lord of the Rings series is crucially underrepresented in Fortnite. When I say ‘underrepresented,’ I mean the collaboration consists of absolutely zero cosmetics in-game. It is genuinely surprising that Epic has not implemented even something simple like an orc skin in the game. However, this could be due to the aforementioned failure of Multiversus. Regardless, Epic has the perfect opportunity to release this collab during Chapter 7 (especially after revived interest in the series after The War of the Rohirrim and the upcoming live-action movie). Due to the sprawling and expansive world of Mordor, Epic would have a ton of opportunities for great cosmetics. Personally, I think seeing a Gandalf skin using a “You Shall Not Pass” emote after eliminating someone would be incredible. Also, now that Sidekicks are in the game, Gollum would be a perfect fit!

WILDCARD: DR. WHO

This one is labeled a wildcard as it is technically an exception to the rule (being a TV show instead of a movie). However, Dr. Who is a massively popular and long-lasting series, so it will likely happen in the future regardless. In fact, I am actually surprised this collab hasn’t happened sooner. The most we have received is a spray of the TARDIS from a Creative map around three years ago. Obviously, I would hope that a potential Doctor skin would include at least a few variations of the character during different regenerations. I would especially hope for edit styles of the Tennant and Smith versions of the character.

For additional skins, a Cyberman or one based on a companion of the Doctor (such as Rose) would be the most likely choices. As for other cosmetics, a Dalek Sidekick would be cool, especially if Epic allowed you to customize the design of the Dalek itself. Of course, an emote based on the TARDIS or Weeping Angels would also be popular.
